Catch an escaped 90 cm Nile crocodile

In cooperation with governmental institutions and ministers, the authorities were able to catch an escaped Nile crocodile (90 cm in length) from a water channel at Nahya region in Giza.

An announcement to the Ministry of Agriculture was made about a Nile crocodile seen on the bank of the channel by people, which caused panic among citizens in the area.

Operation room were formed of the responsible parties (Undersecretary of State for Egyptian Zoos and Wildlife Conservation, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Irrigation, General Authority for Fish Resources, Environment and Water Bodies Police and Giza Governorate) and the specialists from Giza Zoo manage to catch the 90 cm Nile Crocodile in the 4th November 2015, and it was placed at Giza Zoo for health monitoring and caring.

In the 5th on November Dr Khaled Fahmy, Minister of Environment, visited Giza Zoo to check the crocodile health, and He visited the Zoological Museum.
